PPC Group Expands Renewable Energy Projects in Greece

PPC Group is advancing its renewable energy initiatives with new wind farm projects located in Rodopi, Fokida, and Argolida, which are slated for completion in the first half of 2026. Once operational, these wind farms are expected to generate over 280 GWh annually, helping to avoid more than 142,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year. This development is part of PPC Group’s broader strategy to transition toward sustainable energy solutions.

Current Renewable Energy Portfolio

The PPC Group’s renewable energy portfolio currently boasts an installed capacity of approximately 5.5 GW, with an additional 3.8 GW of projects either under construction or ready for development. A major highlight of its renewable projects is the 550 MW photovoltaic park in Ptolemaida, built on former lignite mines, which ranks among the largest solar projects in Europe.

Expansion Beyond Greece

Beyond its initiatives in Greece, PPC is also expanding its renewable energy footprint in Southeastern Europe. Recent initiatives include:

  • The construction of a 140 MW wind farm in eastern Romania.
  • The acquisition of Evryo Group’s renewable energy portfolio in Romania, which adds 629 MW in operation and 145 MW under development.
