Vestas has successfully secured 92 MW of turbine orders for onshore wind projects in Japan, distributed across three separate initiatives. This achievement is part of Vestas’ Q4 order intake and highlights the company’s expanding footprint in the Japanese renewable energy market.
Order Details
Among the new orders, Vestas received a 38 MW commitment for nine V117-4.2 MW turbines for an undisclosed project, which also includes a long-term service agreement. Additionally, another order for eight units of the same model has been placed for a different undisclosed project in Japan, also accompanied by a long-term service agreement.
In a notable collaboration, ENEOS Renewable Energy Corporation and Tohoku Electric Power Co. have ordered five V136-4.2 MW turbines for a replacement project at the JRE Sakata Wind Farm. This order includes a Long-term AOM 5000 service agreement, ensuring ongoing support and maintenance.

Project Timeline
All three orders are scheduled for delivery and commissioning in 2026, marking a significant step forward in Japan’s renewable energy development.
