JA Solar and Solarpro Partner on 240MW Solar Power Plant in Bulgaria, Boosting Renewable Energy Capacity

Partnership Details

In order to supply high-efficiency TOPCon modules DeepBlue 4.0 Pro for a massive 240MW solar power plant in Tenevo village, Yambol district, Bulgaria, JA Solar has partnered with Solarpro. Leading European EPC contractor and technology supplier Solarpro will oversee the project’s whole lifecycle, from planning to execution and oversight. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing funding for the project.

Renewable Energy Goals

The project intends to support the green energy goals of the European Union and increase Bulgaria’s capacity for renewable energy. It will be one of the biggest solar power plants in the area.

Project Timeline

The solar modules are expected to be installed starting in Q3 2024, and by the end of Q2 2025, grid connection and operational status are anticipated.
