The National Center for Events in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia released some details of the second season of the 2022 Jeddah season, which runs from early May until June, and it was found that it is scheduled to include about 2,800 events across the Kingdom in nine designated areas.
Jeddah Season returns after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, forcing the Kingdom to suspend all events to preserve public safety.
Jeddah Season is part of a national strategic initiative called “Saudi Seasons”, which was launched not only to enrich the lives of people in the Kingdom but also to present the country as an important global tourist destination. The Saudi Seasons initiative also aims to highlight the culture, entertainment, and sports in the Kingdom.
The 2022 Jeddah Season will present a packed calendar of events that reflect the city’s rich culture and heritage as well as its growing position as a major regional tourism destination and draw inspiration from the city’s coastal identity.

According to the official statement issued by the local authorities, Jeddah Season 2022 will feature notable events, including a nightly fireworks display at Jeddah Arts Walk, amazing K-pop shows, the Science Festival, and performance of Cirque du Soleil Fusion designed exclusively for Jeddah 2022 that It will last for a month. Concerts and plays performed by Arab and international theater companies are also planned, in addition to breathtaking performances by international artists. The Jeddah Jungle area will include the largest zoo in the Kingdom, while City Walk will host a great comic event for animation lovers. Moreover, a range of new restaurants, cafes, and theme parks will be introduced in the 2022 Jeddah season, and as the authorities stated, the 2022 Jeddah season will provide many job opportunities for those wishing to participate.

Focusing on the advancement of tourism and travel in the Kingdom, the Kingdom has changed visa requirements to make it easier and more convenient for tourists to discover the magic of the Kingdom, and Jeddah Season 2019 is attended by about 15 million visitors from all over the world.
