Polhem Infra and Prime Capital Launch 265MW Wind Portfolio in Sweden

Polhem Infra and Prime Capital have announced a strategic partnership for the construction of the 265MW Lynx onshore wind portfolio in Lycksele, Sweden. This ambitious project includes the Fjällberg, Vinliden, and Hornmyran wind farms, with construction slated to begin in 2027. The partnership, valued at €420 million, is expected to generate approximately 1 Terawatt-hour (TWh) of energy, significantly contributing to Sweden’s renewable energy landscape.

The Lynx portfolio will also feature a regulated grid company responsible for connecting the wind farms to the regional grid. This will involve the development of a new substation and the management of a 70 km long 170 kV overhead line, enhancing the energy infrastructure in the region.

Commitment to Renewable Energy

“We are thrilled to partner with Prime Capital on this portfolio, enabling much-needed large-scale renewable energy production for the Swedish energy transition and the anticipated increase in electricity demand over the coming decades,” said Anna Elmfeldt, CEO of Polhem Infra. She emphasized the importance of this project in providing long-term, attractive returns while supporting critical societal infrastructure.
