Nordex has successfully secured 359 MW worth of turbine orders from Greece and Spain, highlighting its growing footprint in the renewable energy sector.
Orders in Spain
In December 2024, Nordex received orders from four different customers in Spain for wind farms located in Castilla y León, Navarra, Andalusia, and Aragón. The total order includes 42 turbines, comprising:
- 27 N163/5.X turbines
- 13 N163/6.X turbines
- 2 N149/5.X machines
These orders also encompass servicing agreements for the turbines, with terms ranging from ten to 25 years, depending on the specific project. The orders in Spain bring Nordex’s total volume in the country last year to 524 MW.
Patxi Landa, CSO of the Nordex Group, stated: “The proven success of our N163 turbines continues to pay off and solidifies our strong market position in the country.”
Expansion in Greece
In Greece, PPC Renewables has ordered 19 N149/5.X turbines for three wind farms: Rodopi, Livadaki, and Timenio. These projects will be developed in northern Greece, specifically in the Rhodope Mountains, the southern mainland in Phocis, and Arcadia on the Peloponnese peninsula.

With these new orders, Nordex has surpassed the 1 GW mark of sold turbines in Greece. Landa remarked: “With these new orders, we are solidifying our position as a key player in the Greek market. We are proud to have surpassed the 1 GW milestone since we reactivated our business in Greece in 2018.”
Conclusion
These latest orders underscore Nordex’s commitment to expanding its wind energy projects in both Greece and Spain, reinforcing its position in the renewable energy landscape.
