Mustang Energy Kicks Off Exploration at 914W Project

Mustang Energy Corp. has officially started its 2025 field exploration program at the 914W Project, situated in a mineral-rich area south of the renowned Athabasca Basin. This initiative is a key part of Mustang’s strategy to enhance its exploration efforts.

The company’s exploration is made possible through an option agreement with Skyharbour Resources Ltd., which allows Mustang to acquire a 75% stake in the Project by fulfilling certain conditions. The fieldwork will focus on surface prospecting, including detailed rock and soil sampling, aimed at pinpointing mineralization zones. This phase will span nine days, with initial results expected to inform further exploration activities, potentially leading to geophysical surveys or drilling.

Nick Luksha, CEO of Mustang Energy Corp., expressed enthusiasm about the Project’s prospects: “We’re excited to launch our first field program of the summer at 914W. Early geological assessments show promising features, and we anticipate generating significant results to guide our future exploration plans.”

The 914W Project is located roughly 48 km southwest of Cameco’s Key Lake Operation, providing convenient access via Highway 914. It is strategically positioned within the Western Wollaston Domain, recognized for its uranium mineralization associated with unconformities and pegmatites. The area also contains graphite-bearing assemblages, presenting additional exploration opportunities.

Nearby locations, such as the Scurry Rainbow Zone E1 and the Don Lake Trenches, have reported impressive uranium concentrations, including 1,288 ppm U in drill hole ML-11 and 0.64% U3O8 found in surface samples at the Don Lake Zone E2.

Mustang emphasizes that while the proximity to mineral discoveries is promising, it does not ensure similar outcomes within the Project itself. Although past explorations have conducted various geological and geophysical surveys, much of the area remains to be explored. Mustang is hopeful about the potential for both uranium and rare earth element (REE) exploration within the Project.

As Mustang Energy embarks on this exploration program, the findings from the 914W Project could play a pivotal role in shaping its future and contributing to the growing interest in uranium and rare earth resources in Canada. Stakeholders and industry observers will be keenly watching the developments as Mustang aims to solidify its position in the mining sector.
