Inox Wind Launches Major 990 MW Wind Energy Project in India

Inox Wind Ltd has officially announced the commencement of a 990 MW turnkey wind energy project for Purvah Green Private Ltd, a subsidiary of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group. This initiative is part of a broader 1,500 MW framework agreement signed between the two companies, marking a significant advancement in India’s renewable energy landscape. The project is currently under development across multiple sites in Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.

Inox Wind has confirmed that it has received all advance payments necessary for the project, with commissioning set to begin in phases starting from the 2025-26 financial year. This milestone represents a key step in Inox Wind’s expansion strategy and underscores its increasing role in the Indian wind energy sector.

Kailash Tarachandani, Group CEO of Inox Wind, remarked, “This is a significant order for us from a respected client. We are executing the full 990 MW capacity across multiple sites, with phased commissioning expected to begin in FY26. Purvah Green, the renewable energy division of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, is actively building a diverse portfolio of solar and wind energy projects across several states, including Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. Sandeep Kashyap, CEO of the group’s renewable energy business, stated, “This project is a key part of our strategy to expand our green energy capacity.
