Germany’s Federal Network Agency has awarded 4GW of capacity in its latest onshore wind tender results. The tender, held on November 1, saw more than 6GW of bids submitted, indicating strong interest in renewable energy projects. The awarded capacity of 4094MW comprises a total of 348 bids.
Record-Breaking Participation
“The bid quantity submitted exceeded the previous record from the last tender by more than double,” stated Klaus Müller, President of the Federal Network Agency. He added, “Almost as many bids were submitted as in all bidding rounds from 2023 combined. The extremely positive trend in bidding will also be clearly evident in commissioning from next year.”
