German Corner

The Church of St. Castor in Koblenz was founded in AD 836 and witnessed the signing of the historic Treaty of Verdun in AD 843, by which the Carolingian Empire was divided. Highlights of the church include the Dwarf Gallery with 21 arches and images of Jesus as a brave lion, several ancient tombs and a war memorial from the 20th century.
Rhine Gardens
The Rhine Gardens feature a 3 km long walking path and many walkways that connect the green spaces on the east bank of the Rhine, extending from the Electoral Palace to Oberworth Island.
