The Uttar Pradesh government has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Smart Energy Council of Australia and the Hinduja Group to collaboratively advance the state’s renewable energy goals. The agreement, effective from 2025 to 2027, aims to enhance workforce development, facilitate technology transfer, and promote investment in renewable energy sectors.
The agreement was signed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and outlines a comprehensive three-year plan. A primary goal of this collaboration is to develop solar-specific training modules that will empower the local workforce. This initiative is crucial as Uttar Pradesh aims to achieve an ambitious target of 22,000 MW of solar energy capacity.
