Nordex Group has received a significant 40MW turbine order for a wind project in Ukraine. The order, placed by developer Eco-Optima, includes seven N163/5.X turbines for the Sokal wind farm, located north of Lviv in western Ukraine.
Project Details
The order encompasses a comprehensive logistics and installation scope, as well as maintenance services for the turbines. The 5.7MW turbines will be installed on 118-meter tubular steel towers, designed to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the wind farm.
Commitment to Energy Independence
Zinoviy Kozitsky, founder of Eco-Optima, emphasized the importance of this project, stating, “In a difficult time for Ukraine, we care about its energy independence by implementing wind power stations which allow us to stabilize the energy system in Ukraine.” He praised Nordex Group for their ability to resolve technical issues and internal approvals swiftly, which is crucial for the timely implementation of the project.
